Citroen Launches Its First Electric Car – Citroen eC3

Citroen, a leading automaker, has launched the eC3 electric SUV in India, as the market sees a surge in car sales due to the growing demand for electric cars. Company completely manufactures the car at the Thiruvallur factory in Tamil Nadu and will make it available for purchase from the beginning of March.

Consumers can purchase the eC3 electric SUV from Citroen’s Maison La showroom or online website at a price of Rs 11,50,000 lakh (ex-showroom). Its attractive features and competitive pricing make it expected to be a hit amongst customers.

The launch of the eC3 electric SUV marks the beginning of an exciting era of electric cars in India, with many more companies expected to join the race to offer consumers more choices. The introduction of such cars will enable India to become a leader in the electric car market.

The all new Citroen C3 offers its users an unparalleled space in its segment. It has a huge 315 liter boot volume, 1378mm shoulder room and 991mm headroom. The car comes fully equipped with cushioned seating, air conditioning, an audio system and all the other features of an ICE engine.

Citroën recently unveiled a new electric car that can cover a whopping 320KM on a single charge with its 29.2 KWH battery and improved power and torque capabilities, delivering 143NM of torque. However, it is 300Kg heavier than its traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) counterpart.

Moreover, the car is highly efficient and time-saving as it can be charged to 80% in just 57 minutes. Additionally, it features connectivity with Driving Behavior analysis, Vehicle Tracking, Emergency Services, OTA update facility, insurance facility, and 7 years service facilities, accessible through separate apps called My Citroen Connect and C Buddy on both Android and iOS platforms.

Price and Availablity

The company offers the car in four distinct variants: Live, Feel, Feel Vibe Pack and Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack. The Live variant costs Rs 11,50,000 (ex-showroom). The Feel variant has a price tag of Rs 12,13,000 (ex-showroom), the Feel Vibe Pack is priced at Rs 12,28,000 (ex-showroom) and the Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack is available at Rs 12,42,000 (ex-showroom). Also the company has announced that all showrooms selling the car will have DC fast charger facility.

Citroen is making the car available across 25 cities in India including Delhi, Kurugram, Nagpur, Bhopal, Karnal, Dehradun, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Surat, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Mangalore, Kozhikode, Guwahati and Coimbatore.
