Kabira Mobility, Goa-based electric two-wheeler startup just unveiled its flagship electric motorcycle KM5000. This new ride has the potential to become the fastest and longest-riding electric bike in India. It has a top speed of 188 kmph and range of 344 km on a single charge. The company plans to formally launch the KM5000 later this year and commence deliveries in 2024. Electric motorcycle will be available in three stylish colors – Midnight Grey, Deep Khaki and Aquamarine. It will cost Rs 3.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Goa).

With a blistering top speed of 188 km/h, the KM5000 is India’s fastest electric motorcycle. But it doesn’t just have speed; its 11.6 kWh water-cooled LFP battery pack provides an impressive range of 344 km on a single charge, the longest for any electric bike currently available in India. Combining speed and range like never before, the KM5000 is the perfect vehicle for both city riding and long-distance trips.

Charging Options and Design Innovations
KM5000 comes with two different charging options to suit a variety of needs. To make life easier, the high-speed boost charger can get the bike from 0 to 80% in less than two hours, while the standard charger is ideal for overnight charging.
KM5000 has designed with a cruiser-style aesthetic, complete with a single-sided swing arm, making it the first bike in India which offers this feature. This bike also provides a comfortable ride with its suspension setup including Showa upside-down front forks and a Nitrox unit at the back.
Expanding Kabira Mobility’s Electric Bike Lineup
The company has now added two more to its lineup after launching the KM3000 and KM4000 in February. KM3000 has a range of 150 km and a top speed of 120 km/h, while the KM4000 has a range of 120 km and a top speed of 100 km/h. With these two new options, Kabira Mobility now offers a comprehensive collection of electric bikes to cater to a variety of tastes and requirements.
Investment Boosts Manufacturing Infrastructure and Sales Network
Company has just received an influx of cash to help realize its growth goals. An attractive Series A round of funding to the tune of USD 50 million was provided by the Al-Abdulla Group of Qatar. This injection of capital will give Kabira Mobility the ability to strengthen its production capacities and widen its sales reach. Company has confidently expressed that this new development will allow them to scale up operations and take their offerings to the next level in the near future.
