LML, the pioneering electric two-wheeler manufacturer is fast tracking its entry into the Indian market with its first electric scooter the Star. The company has already begun taking bookings and plans to bring the model to the public in the second half of this year. To make sure that customers have easy access to the scooter LML has announced that it will be setting up 50 dealerships all over India. Excitement is building as the launch of the Star approaches and LML looks set to make a big splash in the Indian market.
At the Auto Expo 2023 LML showcased their latest electric scooter, the Star. It is being called a “mid-maxi scooter” due to its futuristic design and dual tone black and white finish with red accents. This scooter is packed with features such as LED projector headlamps, a 360-degree camera, LED lighting, LED daytime running lamps and haptic feedback.

The Star is packed with impressive features from a customizable screen to wireless charging and ambient lighting. Drivers will also benefit from a tire pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist, reverse mode and ABS for added safety. The removable battery pack is tucked away into the footboard for a lower center of gravity. while the scooter also offers plenty of storage space under the seat.
LML is excited to announce the first phase of its expansion plans with the Dealer Owned Dealer Operated (DODO) model. The upcoming dealerships will create experience centers for EV lovers, and the dealers themselves will be both owners and operators. Yogesh Bhatia, Managing Director and CEO at LML, said, “We are passionate about making EVs mainstream in India, and this expansion plan is the first step towards our goal. We have onboarded dealers who understand the importance of EVs, and share our vision of a future filled with electric vehicles.”

This model allows the dealers to be both owners and operators of experience centers for the EV maker.
