Simple One, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup company, is all set to launch its most awaited electric scooter, the Simple One EV. The company recently announced that a scooter would be released in March 2023. also revealed its new manufacturing hub with the name Simple Vision 1.0. They intend to begin production at their new plant on January 19, 2023.
Simple Vision 1.0’s manufacturing hub is located in Shoolagiri, Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and also received an initial investment of Rs 100+. The manufacturing hub is spread over 2,00,000 square feet and has the ability to produce up to 1 million units per year.
Rajkumar, the company’s founder and CEO, stated that “through Simple One Vision 1.0,” our idea has taken shape. And coupled with rigorous R&D and good engineering, we are ready to bring the best-quality electric scooters to market. “And many more products from our pipeline are ready to hit the market, and we are excited to begin production in January 2023,” he mentioned.

Along with Simple Vision 1.0 Manufacturing Plant, the company claims to provide job opportunities to 700+ more workers in and around Hosur. And more vehicles on our bucket list will be revealed in the coming days. CEO said
The simple one electric scooter comes with an 8.5 kW electric motor, has a power output of 11.3 hp, and generates peak torque of up to 72 Nm. The scooter will be available in two variants. The standard variant gets a 3.2-kWh non fixed battery with a 1.6-kWh removable battery pack. The company claims to be able to provide 236 km of range on a single charge.
Another updated variant will gets 3.2 kWh fixed battery and two 1.6 kWh removable battery packs. This model has a claimed range of 300+ km on a single charge.
In terms of pricing, the basic Standard model costs around Rs. 1.10 lakh, and the updated model may cost Rs. 1.45 lakh (excluding state subsidies).
Considering other supply chain concerns, the price of these scooters may increase by a few thousand rupees from the current fixed price, which will be announced at the time of the scooter launch.
