Tata Motors, the veteran car manufacturer, is ready to launch its latest electric car, the Punch EV, on January 5. The company has teased the new vehicle on social media, which will be its fourth all-electric offering after the Tiago EV, Tigor EV and Nexon EV.

The Punch EV will be based on the Nexon facelift, but with some cosmetic and feature updates to make it stand out. The electric micro SUV will sport a new grille, a full-width LED light bar, new LED headlights, connected LED taillamps and new alloy wheels.

A spacious and feature-rich cabin

The interior of the Punch EV will offer a spacious and comfortable cabin, with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 2-spoke steering wheel with a prominent Tata logo. The car will also feature a rotary gear knob with an integrated display, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto hold and a digital driver display.

A powerful and efficient performance

The Punch EV will be powered by an electric powertrain that will offer both standard and long range models. The company has not revealed the exact specifications of the battery and the motor, but it is expected that the Punch EV will have a range of more than 300 kilometers on a single charge. The car will also have 6 airbags for the safety of the passengers.

A competitive price

The company will announce the price of the Punch EV by the end of this month, which is likely to be around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). This will make it one of the most affordable electric cars in the market, and a strong contender in the segment.
