The Tata Tiago EV is India’s most awaited affordable electric car. This car is set to be released on September 28. After the launch of the Tiago EV, this car will be one of the cheapest electric car in India. Also, This is India’s first EV hatchback. Before its release, this vehicle set several records, including being the most affordable EV in India, the first EV hatchback, etc.
This is the third EV from the brand after the Nexon EV and Tigor EV. Tata Motors has released a teaser image of the Tiago EV on social media, revealing many details about this car. If we talk about interiors, the car may get the same interiors as its IC model. It is also assumed that it will acquire the blue textured design on the outside and inside.
The car may come with a permanent magnet synchronous motor that generates 74BHP and 170Nm of torque. Tata has not revealed any additional information about the motor. Tata Motors has already confirmed that the Tiago EV will come with fast charging features. This EV has a 26kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It can take up to an hour to charge 80 per cent of the battery by using a DC fast charger.
The Tiago EV is expected to have an ARAI-certified range of 306 km on a single charge. The car’s unique features are that the Tiago EV may come with Zconnect technology that other EV makers are already using. And also premium leather seats, cruise mode, smartwatch connection, pedal drive technology, multi-mode regen technology, regenerative braking system, etc.
As previously stated, the Tiago EV is the first electric car to have a hatchback after models such as the ICE and CNG versions. The CNG version of Tiago was already launched in January of this year. After the launch of the Tiago EV, this will join the list of Tigor EV, Nexon EV, and Nexon EV Max.
