TVS Motor Company has unveiled its premium electric scooter, the TVS X, which is priced at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The TVS X is the first electric scooter in India to come with ABS and boasts an array of advanced digital and interconnected features. The bookings for the vehicle have commenced and the deliveries will begin across 15 cities in a phased manner from November.
Design and performance

The TVS X sets itself apart as a high-end electric scooter, boasting a robust and distinct design language compared to other electric two-wheelers. It is built on the TVS Xleton platform, which ensures maximum durability and performance. The electric scooter has a 4.4kWh battery unit that can deliver a peak power of 11kW and 40Nm of torque. It can achieve top speeds of 105kmph and has an IDC range of 140km. The TVS X can be charged from 0 to 50 percent in just 50 minutes using the add-on 3kW fast charger. On the other hand, the 950W portable charger tops up the scooter in 4 hours and 30 minutes from 0 to 80 percent.
TVS X has a monoshock suspension, 12-inch alloy wheels, and a 200mm single front disc and 195 rear disc set. It also features GravitOPSTM technology, which keeps the thrill stable at high speeds and cornering. The vehicle comes with three driving modes, namely Xtealth, Xtride, and Xonic, which allow the rider to customize the performance and efficiency of the scooter.
Connected technology

TVS X is an entertainment powerhouse that comes with a 10.25-inch HD front display, which offers an intuitive navigation system, a mapping mechanism for locating EV chargers, real-time vehicle location sharing, personalized rider profiles, and more. The scooter also has a crash detection system, an overspeeding alert, a towing alert, a geofencing feature, and an auto-locking function. The rider can also stream music, videos, and games on the display using PlayTechTM technology.
TVS X is available in two variants: the standard model and the first edition model. The first edition model is limited to the first 2,000 buyers who pay Rs 18,000 extra and get access to dedicated customer care and on-demand services. TVS X is the most expensive e-scooter currently in the country and does not come with any FAME-II subsidy benefits.
