Kia Is Bringing The EV6 To India
Kia will launch its first electric car, the EV6 crossover, off the coast of India. You can book it from May 26, which means it will go on sale in June.
The Kia EV6 is one of the seven fully electric vehicles based on Hyundai Group’s new Dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform.
Kia India has not yet announced which trim is India-spec, but we know that the models sold abroad will include two battery packs, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options.
Performance enthusiasts can choose the EV6 GT, which runs on a 585PS dual-electric powertrain and can accelerate from 0-100kmph to 260kmph 3.5 seconds in the guise of AWD.
In terms of range, the long-range AWD trim is capable of 510km claimed by WLTP on a single charge.
To make it even better, it has an 800V charging setup that allows it to charge up to 350kW faster.
It charges 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. Vehicle Load (V2L) is another clean strategy, where you can charge other electronic devices and an EV.
The Kia EV6 is definitely part of a sporty crossover with a clean overall silhouette, Kia ‘Digital Tiger Nose Grille’, triangular LED headlights with DRL, attached tail lamps and sloping roof.
It includes Level 3 Autonomous Driver Assist such as Safe Exit Assist, Lane Following Assist, Highway Driving Assist and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
