In a joint effort to promote green mobility and reduce carbon footprint, multi-brand EV platform BLive has joined hands with food delivery aggregator Zomato to introduce Ather electric scooters for last-mile deliveries in Ahmedabad. This collaboration marks a significant step towards the future of sustainable food delivery in India.

Ather EVs deployed in Ahmedabad for last-mile deliveries

BLive has deployed 30 Ather electric scooters in Ahmedabad, as part of their partnership with Zomato that was initiated in July this year. This move is a continuation of the EV platform’s mission to expand their fleet across 20 cities in India. By using eco-friendly EVs for last-mile deliveries, the company aims to transform the delivery ecosystem in the country.

Apart from Ather electric scooters, BLive also manages over 40 other brands on its digital platform, including electric two-, three-, and four-wheelers. With plans to expand its reach to 100 multi-brand stores by 2024, the company aims to offer a wide range of EVs and services to promote the adoption of electric vehicles for personal and business use. By partnering with Zomato, BLive offers charging infrastructure, post-sales service, and easy financing options to facilitate the EV adoption process for last-mile delivery companies.

Samarth Kholkar, CEO, and co-founder of BLive, expressed his excitement to introduce EVs for food delivery in Ahmedabad through their partnership with Zomato and Ather Energy. He believes this sustainable initiative will transform the way deliveries are made in the city. Nikhil Patil, Head of Corporate Sales at Ather Energy, also shared his enthusiasm and said that EVs not only offer better performance but also have a positive impact on the environment.

Ather Energy currently sells two electric scooters – 450S and 450X – with prices starting at ₹1.30 lakh for the 450S and ₹1.38 lakh for the 450X (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The Ather 450S has fewer features and a smaller 2.9 kWh battery pack, while the 450X offers the option of a 2.9 kWh or 3.7 kWh battery pack. With this partnership, Ather Energy aims to contribute to a more sustainable and eco-friendly future for food delivery in Ahmedabad.
